NEWS > 1918 museum building at Camp Mabry to be restored
The Texas Adjutant General’s Department selected Bailey Architects to conduct the historical rehabilitation of the Texas Military Forces Museum in the Camp Mabry Historic District in Austin. The 45,000 GSF museum contains exhibit hall and rooms, archives, library, conference hall, administrative offices, and retail space. Work on the one-story brick building -- originally constructed in 1918 as a mess hall -- will be conducted in consultation with the Texas Historical Commission and will be LEED certified.
