Wharton County Courthouse
The historic Wharton County Courthouse, located in Wharton, Texas, and designed in 1889 by Eugene Heiner, was concealed beneath decades of paint and stucco. Bailey Architects completed research and design drawings to restore the courthouse to its original appearance, and during restoration, carefully removed the building´s later additions and finishes. Since original documents for the building no longer exist, photographs and exhaustive research provided important information to produce an accurate restoration effort.
