Clay Road YMCA
Bailey Architects provided comprehensive architectural services for a new 46,000 SF facility to replace the existing Westside YMCA at I-10 and Wirt Road. The facility, located on a 17-acre site at Clay Road, includes 3 full soccer fields, a practice field, restroom facilities and parking areas.
The new building includes lobby / reception area, full gymnasium, child care center, workout facility, 2 aerobics studios, separate, full-use locker rooms for Men, Women, Youth Boys, Youth Girls and Family, and a multi-purpose community room.
The enclosed pool structure includes an 8-lane, 25 meter lap pool, fully accessible therapy pool and an enclosed sauna. An area is reserved on the site for a future family pool. The building was designed to accommodate a future expansion.
